This white label gaming software company is on a massive expansion drive. It is the name behind many new casino launches, providing the software platform which casino operators use to run their sites.
A white label platform is basically a standard software framework which provides the template on which operators can put their own “branding”, which is the name and theme of their site. Big names in this business include 888 Holding’s Dragonfish, plus mobile specialists such as Nektan.
These platforms tend to be the “Marmite” of the industry. Some players love the familiarity and ease of use which these casinos provide. Others believe that they are referred to as templates for a reason: they’re all pretty much the same as each other, driving the homogenisation of the industry and leading to player boredom.
From the casino operators point of view though, they are a quick and (relatively) inexpensive way of getting up and running, since they do not require new casinos to be built up from scratch each time.
Aspire Global was founded 2005 and has seen a comparatively slow growth up until fairly recently. However, it has now decided to take on its more experienced and established rivals and has embarked on a programme of quick turnaround casino releases in order to compete with the likes of Nektan. It remains relatively small in international terms. It is headquartered in Sliema on the Mediterranean island of Malta, with a large development office based in Tel Aviv, Israel.
The company’s primary market remains in Europe, from where approximately 90% of the company’s revenues are derived. In 2016, the last year for which figures are available at the time of writing, Aspire Global achieved total revenues of around €100 million.
The company is listed on the Stockholm NASDAQ Stock Exchange, where its share price at the time of writing was hovering around 35 Swedish Krona (SEK), valuing the company at about 1.3m SEK.
The company offers casino operators a full suite of management and marketing services. This includes taking care of all customer support services, consumer retail marketing, market analysis, payment and banking facilities, fraud and data protection security and just about anything else a casino operator may need to run a successful site.
Clients can choose a bespoke range of games from a roster of alternatives provided by the leading gaming software providers in the industry. This is because Aspire Global has signed game licencing deals with most of the biggest names in games design. These include NetEnt, NYX Gaming, Microgaming and Evolution Gaming to name just four out of a total more than a couple of dozen giant design companies.
The Aspire Global platform also provides casino operators with a gaming licence with the Malta Gaming Authority. This means that all casinos powered by their platform is fully regulated by the UK Gambling Commission and are therefore safe to play for UK based players.
