Founded over a decade ago in 2008, Betable is a betting software company. Its platform is popular with casino operators as a means of including sports betting as an option on their sites. The company holds a licence on the UK Channel Island of Alderney, and is fully regulated by the UK Gambling Commission.
Originally launched as an information and referral site, Betable has expanded over the years by raising cash from various venture capital companies. This investment funding has then been used to develop improved software and expand the company’s offer through marketing campaigns and partnership agreements.
The biggest step forward came in 2012, when the company re-launched with a much enhanced software platform, enabling Betable to accept real money for the first time. Licencing and partnership agreements with the likes of Slingo enabled the company to rapidly expand its offer
The current Betable software platform provides a comprehensive suite of services, enabling casino and sports betting operators to get up and running quickly, efficiently and at minimal cost. The three tiered service is separated into Engine, Reach and Wallet functions.
This structure means that site owners receive a fully functioning financial, banking and payment service. They also receive a full “back office” function, enabling operators to analyse player data to improve player retention rates and to enhance and target marketing, both generally and also personalised to individual players. Finally, the platform also provides full licencing and regulatory compliance with the United Kingdom market, which means that site owners do not need to apply for a separate licence for their sports betting operation or portal.
Betable’s betting software platform is compatible with play on any kind of device, including both Android and iOS mobile operating systems.
The company retains its original London based operation, but also has satellite offices in Manchester, and overseas operations in the United States and Canada. Its administrative headquarters are based in Edmonton, Canada.
Betable remains privately owned, with a total share capital valued at around £7 million in December 2017, the last full financial year for which figures are available at the time of writing. This figure represents an increase in value of around 10% when compared to the previous financial year.
