GTECH were an international gaming company, employing over 8,500 staff in 52 countries worldwide. It is an Italian company, based in Rome. It is a software designer for online bingo, casino and betting sites. It had lottery operating contracts in the US and was involved in the design and development of Camelot’s UK national lottery. In Europe, it has major operations in Italy and Spain.

It had registered the name SPIELO International in the UK and was licensed in Gibraltar. It does not appear to have any major gambling operations in the UK anymore, but it does supply software for various UK bingo site operators such as 8 Ball Games Ltd.
