Альфа-Клик (Alfa Click)

This Romanian bank was formed in 1993 as a partnership between the parent Alpha Bank Group, based in Greece, and the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development. It started operating the following year and was renamed Alpha Bank (Romania) in the year 2000. It is headquartered in the capital city of Bucharest.

The bank provides all the usual services you would expect of a commercial bank including current accounts for private customers, business banking, internet banking, loans and mortgages and investment banking.

The Alpha Click service is part of its internet banking provision – allowing Romanian citizens to access their bank accounts online to make payments and complete other transactions. It is now accepted at many online casinos as a way for Romanian people to make deposits.

Security is provided by the bank’s method of authentication based on security codes supplied by the bank to its customers. This can be done using either mobile or desktop devices. For smartphones, an app is provided. This app is supplied in various formats which are compatible with all currently popular operating systems, such as Android, Apple and Windows.

For desktop PCs, a hardware device is supplied (free of charge) in order for customers to access their accounts securely. This consists of a small device (about the size of a memory stick), called a Hardware Token, which contains a button and an LED display screen. This device must be linked to software installed on the customer’s own computer.

Each device carries a unique 12 character identification number, which can be replaced by a shorter more memorable name by the user. When the button on the device is pressed, a further six digit authorisation code is generated, which the customer uses to access the account, together with their usual username and password. As a further security measure, the six digit authorisation code is only displayed on your device for 30 seconds.
