Global Personals are best known as an online singles / dating agency. They own and run many different sites (though they coyly prefer to call them “social discovery” sites), claiming 20 million members worldwide in 2013.
They decided to diversify into the new area (for them) of online bingo, acquiring the Smooch brand in 2012, and the following year launched the new Smooch Bingo service. Global Personals exploit a clear opportunity for attracting in-house customers from their dating sites, and these customers are further encouraged by the introduction of tie-in innovations such as dedicated singles bingo rooms.
Global Personals provide something a bit different from the online bingo crowd, with their focus on the singles market offering an interesting “extra” dimension to online gaming.
