Williams Interactive is a seriously old company. In an industry where anything founded in the 1990s is considered old, this operation is positively ancient. First established in 1974 as Williams Electronics Inc, it can trace its roots even further back, to the Williams Manufacturing Company, founded back in 1943.
The company was originally heavily involved in the design and manufacture of pinball machines, before diversifying into electronic games back in the formative days of computer gaming. These were the days of Pong, when even simple games like Tetris were a futuristic dream (younger readers may need to ask their grandparents about these games). By the 1990s, the focus had switched to slot machines, with its last pinball machine rolling off the production line in 1999.
The energies of the company were then directed at real world casino-based slot machines, but in 2010 it began to design and produce online slots for the UK, and subsequently for the American market too.
Today, Williams Interactive is behind the design of many of today’s favourite slot and casino games. There are around fifty popular slot titles in the Williams Interactive catalogue at the time of writing, with several more in the pipeline. Some of these designs have become firm player favourites, available on many of the top online casinos’ rosters. These include games like Cool Jewels, Raging Rhino and Spartacus: Gladiator of Rome. Their official slot Kiss, featuring original music from the iconic American band, is going down well with their millions of fans across the world.
The company’s games are featured on hundreds of online casinos around the globe. For UK based players, some of the best known sites to include Williams Interactive titles in their range include Bet365, BGO, Coral, Moon Bingo and Sing Bingo.
